In January 2023, the export of Russian wheat for the fourth month in a row could become a record. According to the forecast of the analytical center “Rusagrotrans”, it can reach 3.6 million tons, according to the portal pole.rf. The last January record was set in 2021, when exports reached 3.45 million tons. Current applications for grain shipments in deep-water ports alone are already more than 3.2 million tons, analysts noted. In addition, they raised their estimate of wheat exports in December 2022 from 4.2-4.3 million tons to 4.35 million tons against the backdrop of an increase in export rates since the middle of the month and an increase in supplies to the EAEU countries.
