Such a scholarship is offered to be paid to students by analogy with the 13th salary
State Duma deputy Oleksandr Mazhuga proposed to pay New Year’s scholarships to students by analogy with the 13th salary, which usually corresponds to the monthly salary of employees. About it writes RIA Novosti.
“Universities have autonomy in this matter. We have a scholarship fund that most often saves by the end of the year, and many universities do this – they make the 13th scholarship by the end of the year. It seems to me that this is right, a good initiative, but universities can now do this within their competence,” Mazhuga said.
