Demand for studios in Moscow decreased by 12.6% yoy. Experts of the investment and financial company Sdelka told the Realty Times about this.
At the end of November 2022, interest in buying studio apartments in Moscow increased by 2.22% compared to October last year. At the moment, this is the first increase in the number of requests for this type of apartment in two months.
Despite this slight increase, in the eleventh month of 2022, demand for studios decreased by 40.62% compared to November 2021 and by 26.66% compared to November 2020.
Also, a decrease in the number of customer requests was noted following the results of 11 months of 2022. From January to November of this year, the number of requests for such objects in Moscow decreased by 12.63% compared to the same previous year and increased by 6.33% compared to eleven months of 2020.
– Studio apartments are often bought for the purpose of resale or for rent. Today, investment demand has decreased, and the number of transactions with such objects has decreased. People do not know what will happen next and are afraid to take risks. There will always be high rental demand in Moscow, and a well-chosen studio with a well-thought-out layout and good sound insulation remains a fairly attractive tool for investment. At the same time, of course, it is worth noting the lower profitability than before, – said Ivan Sukhov, head of the sales department at IFC Sdelka.
Recall that we previously reported that in 2022 the demand for studios in 16 Russian cities decreased by 8%.
