In 2022, in the Tambov region, the gross harvest of greenhouse vegetables amounted to 27 thousand tons. In recent years, greenhouse vegetable growing has been actively developing in the region. In the region there are 2 large greenhouse complexes with a total area of ​​46 hectares – Teplichnoye JSC and Teplichny Kombinat Michurinsky LLC. The enterprises grow cucumbers, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, as well as green crops. Currently, greenhouse complexes are working on laying a new crop of vegetables, which will go on the shelves of Tambov stores in January.
