The increase in 2022 by 50% of acreage under sunflower in Kabardino-Balkaria had a positive impact on the growth of gross yields of oilseeds. Also last year, thanks to high-quality seeds and compliance with all agrotechnical standards, an increase in yield was achieved: an average of 24.1 centners of sunflower seed oil was collected from one hectare. The gross harvest of sunflower from an area of 20.7 thousand hectares, according to preliminary data from the North Caucasus State Statistics Service, amounted to 49 thousand tons, which is a record harvest for Kabardino-Balkaria.
