In Kabardino-Balkaria, in 2022, the gross sunflower harvest, according to preliminary data, amounted to 49 thousand tons, which is a record harvest for the region. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic.
Compared to 2021, the gross harvest growth amounted to almost 50%. The harvest last year was collected from an area of 20.7 thousand hectares.
In addition, a 50% increase in sunflower acreage in Kabardino-Balkaria in 2022 had a positive impact on the growth of gross yields of oilseeds.
Also in the past year, an increase in yield was achieved: an average of 24.1 centners of sunflower seed oil was collected from one hectare.
