More than 2.3 thousand tons of venison were harvested in Yamal in 2022

The total volume of harvesting of reindeer meat in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (YaNAO) in 2022 amounted to more than 2.3 thousand tons in slaughter weight, which is 7% higher than in the previous year. The slaughter campaign took place from September to December in six districts of the district. More than 838 tons of venison were harvested at three complexes of the Yamal Deer SE, 420 tons were accounted for by LLC Tazovskie Deer, about 400 tons were harvested at the Payuta meat processing complex in the Urals region. The result of Vozrozhdenie LLC (Nadymsky district) is 173 tons of venison. The growth in volumes is due to the introduction in 2020 of a mechanism of state support for the industry, aimed at increasing the income of reindeer herders from the delivery of reindeer.
