At the end of 2022, meat production increased in the Tambov region

According to preliminary data from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Tambov Region, in 2022, 640,000 tons of meat were produced in all categories of farms. This is 2% higher than the level of 2021. In the structure of the types of meat produced, the largest volume is poultry. It is expected that in the ranking of regions of the country, Tambov region will retain 4th place in Russia and 4th in the Central Federal District in terms of production of livestock and poultry for slaughter (in live weight). “We continue to successfully fulfill the task of ensuring food security, which was set by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Tambov meat products are provided not only by local residents, but also by citizens of other regions.
