Russia again entered the top five in terms of tourist flow to Israel. Interfax writes about this with reference to the press service of the country’s Ministry of Tourism.
In total, 2.67 million tourists came to Israel in 2022, which is 41% lower than the record year of 2019.
Most visitors came from the United States – 793.7 thousand people. It is followed by France (231.5 thousand) and Great Britain (174.6 thousand). Russia is in fourth place in the ranking – 160 thousand people. Germany closes the top five – 141 thousand tourists.

Breaking the 2019 record is a realistic goal, Israeli Tourism Minister Chaim Katz said. Then the country was visited by 4.55 million people, including 320 thousand Russians. Katz noted that 2022 was a year of recovery from the covid crisis.
