Demand for family mortgages suddenly increased in the country. As Tatyana Reshetnikova, head of the mortgage department of the federal company Etazhi, told Izvestia, since the beginning of 2023, about 74% of applications for loans to buy apartments in the primary market have come from this program.
– At the beginning of December 2022, preferential mortgages accounted for 56% of all applications for the purchase of new buildings, about 40% of applications were submitted for family mortgages, since the beginning of the year, the share of applications for preferential mortgages has decreased to 24%, while family mortgages, on the contrary, have grown to a record high of 74 %, – said Reshetnikova.
At the same time, the expert notes that the share of borrowers who have not yet decided on a specific type of housing to be purchased (primary or secondary) has also increased, but are simply considering buying an apartment depending on their own financial capabilities. Cases and manifestations of attention to suburban housing are not uncommon.
Recently, an increasing number of citizens began to consider all existing alternatives to improve their living conditions. As a result, the flow of mortgage consultations has increased significantly. For suburban real estate began to consult 27% more often, for new buildings – by 18%, but in the secondary segment, the number of requests, on the contrary, decreased – by 6.5%.
