According to the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), agricultural production in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in January-November 2022 increased by 5.1% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 154.8 billion US dollars.
Growth was observed in all states of the union: in Kazakhstan – by 8.5%, Kyrgyzstan – by 6.4%, Russia – by 4.7%, Belarus – by 3.5%, Armenia – by 0.5%.
The positive dynamics is associated with an increase in the collection of basic agricultural crops, primarily cereals and legumes, which is due to an increase in productivity. The production of the main livestock products also increased, the EEC noted.
In January-November 2022, the production of the main livestock products in the EAEU increased: livestock and poultry for slaughter (in live weight) – by 2.5% compared to January-November 2021, milk – by 1.3%, eggs – by 2.6%.
