Increasing the volume of mineral fertilizers is one of the key tasks for increasing crop yields and their gross yields. Last year, Russian agricultural producers purchased about 5 million tons of mineral fertilizers in the active ingredient, which is 8.1% higher than last year and is a record since 1993. The largest volume was purchased by farmers of the Ryazan region (125.5% of the plan), Novosibirsk region (121.1%), Altai Territory (120.1%), Kursk region (114.8%). This made it possible, according to preliminary data, to raise the level of application to 60 kg per 1 ha of sown area on average for the country (in 2021 – 55 kg per 1 ha). The government pays special attention to maintaining the availability of mineral fertilizers for farmers.
