This game will be taught to schoolchildren from 1st to 11th grades

An educational course on playing bast shoes has been developed for Russian schoolchildren, TASS writes with reference to the Ministry of Education. Lapte will be taught to students from grades 1 to 11.
The Ministry of Education noted that the lapta will help schoolchildren develop physical skills and will contribute to their moral education. “While playing bast shoes, children learn to work in a team, to be proactive and decisive,” the ministry stressed.
What else is known:
The fact that a module on playing bast shoes will appear in Russian schools as part of the subject “Physical Education” was discussed back in October. Then the Ministry of Education announced that it was also planned to develop modules for rock climbing, biathlon, tennis and roller sports.

Lapta is a team game with a ball and a bat, the purpose of which is to hit the bat to send the ball as far as possible and at the same time run the whole team across the court to the opposite side and back.
