The federal road R-256 “Chuysky Trakt” runs along the route Novosibirsk – Barnaul – Gorno-Altaisk – the border with Mongolia. Since 2020, the access road to Lake Teletskoye, included in the UNESCO list, has also become part of the Chuisky tract. This is the second natural reservoir of drinking water in Russia after Baikal. At the initiative of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the rehabilitation of Lake Teletskoye is included in the Ecology national project. And Rosavtodor continues to overhaul the entrance to the lake, with a total length of 140 km. The next work will be carried out on bridges across a mountain stream and the Uba and Vyselskaya Uba rivers. The project received a positive conclusion from the Glavgosexpertiza of Russia.
The construction site is located in the Choisky district of the Altai Republic. The bridge across the Vyselskaya Uba River is located at the 52 km entrance to Lake Teletskoye, and the bridge across the Uba River is located at the 57th km. The total length of the bridges is 6.7 and 9.7 m respectively. The project also includes a major overhaul of the bridge over the stream at the 60th kilometer entrance to Lake Teletskoye. The two-lane roadway of the bridges after the overhaul will meet the requirements of the III technical category.
“On sections of approaches to bridges, as well as on flooded sections of the road, retaining walls will be installed using gabion-mesh structures.
