These are the results of the work for 2022 of FKU Uprdor “Southern Ural” in this region.
By order of the institution, 9 km of the R-254 Irtysh highway were expanded from two to four lanes, four sections with a total length of 25 km were repaired and 109 km of the R-354 and R-254 highways were protected with wear layers. The bridge over the Chernaya River was also overhauled. In addition, last year, 4 km of electric lighting, one traffic light and 20 road signs with optical fiber light indication were installed to ensure road safety.
In the new road season, work will continue on the overhaul of the bridge across the Menderya River at the 36th km of the R-254 Irtysh highway, the entrance to the city of Tyumen. Specialists arranged a temporary bypass road to which the traffic flow was redirected. On the neighboring sections of the route – from the 24th to the 49th km and from the 59th to the 76th km – major repairs will resume.
In 2023, by order of FKU Uprdor “Southern Ural” from two to four lanes, they will continue to expand the section of the R-254 “Irtysh” highway from km 151 to 202. Here, to prevent head-on collisions, a barrier fence will be installed on the dividing strip. The facility will also strengthen roadsides, arrange crossings, install 7.5 km of electric lighting, erect two overhead pedestrian crossings, build landing sites for public transport and mount new car pavilions.
