Maybe there is some easier way? There is a way, of course. You can try hypnosis. But he is not the best assistant here, said Andrey Efremov, author of international scientific publications in the field of psychotherapy and medicine.
According to the expert, the craving for alcohol and smoking often confuses, because addiction is a psychological issue and it cannot be overcome with nicotine patches and droppers alone. But stopping the symptoms with various practices is also not worth it.
“With the help of hypnosis, it is really possible to make a person forget about his desire, for example, to smoke. You can suggest that the person is relaxed. But he came with the feeling that he was drawn to cigarettes. Why relax him and give some incomprehensible instructions? Craving for cigarettes or alcohol is always due to some feelings, traumas of the past. And we need to work with them, ”Efremov explained.
The psychotherapist pointed out that hypnosis can remove the problem of addiction, but will not solve the internal conflict that caused this craving. He will simply hide deeper and continue to harm the patient. After all, untreated injuries leave their mark and they must be identified together with a specialist and worked out under his supervision.
