Prices increased by more than 160% in 2022
Turkey ranked first in the world in terms of rising rental prices in 2022, TASS writes with reference to the Turkish newspaper Aydinlik.
According to the publication, prices have increased by 160.6% compared to 2021. Experts note that such changes are mainly related to inflation. However, 30% of prices “are inflated,” said Nizamettina Ashi, head of the local chamber of realtors.

Representatives of the Turkish real estate industry indicated that rental prices in Turkey began to rise in March 2022. Most often, housing is rented in Istanbul and resort areas, where rental prices can be inflated.
So, in Istanbul over the past few years, the cost of rental housing has doubled – now the minimum price for a temporary apartment is from 1.5-2 thousand dollars a month.
In Antalya, the price of rented housing has increased at least four times – from $200-600 per month to $2,000.
