About 5.4 billion rubles were allocated to support agro-industrial enterprises and the development of rural areas in the Nizhny Novgorod Region in 2023. The issues of financing the agricultural sector were discussed in the regional Legislative Assembly at the committee on agro-industrial complex and rural development. “Sustainable state support for the agricultural sector plays an important role in achieving its priority tasks, one of which is ensuring the country’s food security,” said Nikolai Denisov, Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. “This year, about 5.4 billion rubles have been allocated to support agro-industrial enterprises and the development of rural areas in the region, of which 3.2 billion rubles come from the regional budget and 2.2 billion are federal subsidies.” In particular, about 1.8 billion rubles are provided to support animal husbandry in 2023….
