The production of our own domestic hatching eggs began at the Kemerovo site of the Sibagro poultry farm, TASS reported, citing information from the company’s press service.
Previously, the company purchased hatching eggs in Turkey or Portugal. Due to sanctions, it has become more difficult to purchase them.
“Sibagro poultry farm received the first hatching egg at the Kemerovo site. <...> Now the site has been repaired and is 50% occupied. The hulls were put into operation, high-tech Big Dutchman equipment was installed, which automatically controls the microclimate system, collects eggs, waters and feeds the birds. In May, we plan to reach full production capacity, which will allow us to close the need for hatching eggs and refuse deliveries from Turkey,” Viktor Shalyup, director of the poultry farm, is quoted in the message.
By mid-January, about 300 thousand chicken eggs received from the parent flock will be laid. By the end of the month, the first batch of chickens is expected. The production potential of the enterprise is designed to keep more than 160 thousand poultry and produce about 21 million hatching eggs.
