The project documentation and the results of engineering surveys for the improvement of the hydrographic network of the river flowing through the territory of Georgia and Russia were reviewed and approved by the State Institution “Department of State Expertise of the Republic of Ingushetia”. The expert organization is connected to the ECPE.
The Assa River, which was considered sacred in ancient times, originates on the northern slopes of the main Caucasian ridge in Georgia, then passes through the lands of Ingushetia and Chechnya, where it flows into the Sunzha near the village of Zakan-Yurt. The length of the river is 133 km, of which 91 km passes through the territory of Ingushetia. The valleys of the rivers Assy, Terek and Gulyaikha are known for their large complex of stone battle towers and dwellings, tombs, pagan sanctuaries and Christian churches.
The Regional State Expertise of Ingushetia issued a positive opinion on the project documentation for carrying out measures to improve the Assy hydrographic network section in the rural settlement of Nesterovskoye, Sunzhensky District, founded in 1847. The work is carried out within the framework of the subprogram “Development of the water management complex” of the state program of the Republic of Ingushetia “Protection and protection of the environment.”*
The developer of the object is the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Republic of Ingushetia. The general designer is YugSpetsStroy LLC.
