Nikolai Dostal
Russian film director and screenwriter Nikolai Dostal died on the evening of January 18. This was announced to the leadership of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation by his brother, producer Vladimir Dostal.
The cause of the director’s death is currently unknown. The place and date of farewell will be announced later.

Nikolai Dostal was the director of the films “The Man with the Accardion”, “Cloud Paradise”, “The Little Giant of Big Sex”, “Citizen Chief”, “Penal Battalion”, “The Monk and the Demon” and “Split”. In 2008 he was awarded the title of People’s Artist of Russia.
