Zavolzhsky Motor Plant (ZMZ), which is part of the Sollers Group, has resumed production of V8 engines. The release was restarted on January 18, that is, a month after the announcement.

ZMZ-523/524 is a deeply modernized version of the ZMZ-53 engine, which has been mass-produced since 1963.
