According to the Secretariat of Foreign Trade of the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Secex), from January 1 to December 23, 2022, the country exported 4.7 million tons of chicken meat, which is 2.4% more than in the whole of 2021, and is a record. Some of Brazil’s major trading partners are reported to have markedly reduced their imports of chicken meat from the country this year.
