In 2022, the fisheries organizations of the Novosibirsk Region caught 14 thousand tons of fish, which is significantly more than in the previous year. The volume of stocking of reservoirs for growing marketable fish is also growing dynamically, including thanks to regional state support for the industry. According to preliminary estimates, in 2022, the catch of fish for industrial purposes amounted to 12672 tons, the catch of farmed commercial fish – 1565 tons, in total more than 14.2 thousand tons of fish (in 2021 there were 12.3 thousand tons). “The region has caught almost 2,000 tons more fish than in 2021,” said Evgeny Leshchenko, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture of the Novosibirsk Region. – An even more positive trend is noted in terms of the stocking of reservoirs for growing marketable fish. In 2022, this figure reached 64.2 million pieces of fish seed, 4.3 million more than the year before.
