From two to four: in Kabardino-Balkaria, the roadway of the 8-kilometer section of the R-217 “Kavkaz” highway was expanded
We are talking about an overhaul facility, a segment from Malka to the entrance to Cuba-Taba (km 405 – km 413), which was put into operation a year ahead of schedule
The result of the work was an increase in throughput and safety level on a section of the road with a traffic intensity of more than 35 thousand cars per day. To do this, the roadway was expanded from two to four lanes (from 7.5 to 14 m), and oncoming traffic flows were separated by a barrier fence.
