Everyone copes with stress in different ways: someone walks in parks and squares, someone lets off steam in video games, and someone drowns negativity in alcohol. However, there is a simple way available to everyone at any time of the day, – psychologist Anastasia Morozova told about it.
On the air of the St. Petersburg TV channel, the expert said that you can cope with stress using only a piece of paper and a pen. You just need to write something – for example, about your recent experience.
“It can also help the emotional state to write a letter to someone, pronouncing all the boiling emotions. You don’t need to send it – but in this format you can not choose the “right” words and put stress on paper, ”Morozova explained.
Why does it work? Because in order for the thought to be embodied on paper, the brain and body work together. In the end, it helps to cope with emotions, whatever they may be.
By the way, sometimes, to help yourself cope with negativity, you can just eat. You can overcome stress if you constantly eat bananas, pineapples, cheese and some other foods. They contain a large amount of tryptophan – the amino acid from which serotonin is synthesized – the very “happiness hormone”.
