The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia predicts grain exports from the Russian Federation in the 2022/23 season in the amount of 55-60 million tons and does not plan to reduce the export quota, the volume of which is determined on the basis of export plans, the ministry’s press service reported. “The size of quotas is determined taking into account the export plan at the level of 55–60 million tons. The specified volume will allow us to reach the beginning of the next season with comfortable carry-over balances. There are no plans to reduce the size of export quotas,” the report says. The grain harvest in Russia last year, according to Rosstat, increased by 26.7% compared to the previous year – up to 153.83 million tons in weight after completion.
