Prevention of dangerous animal diseases is carried out in the Volgograd region. In particular, in order to identify and localize them at an early stage, agreements are concluded with the owners of pig farms on the implementation of preventive measures: according to the regional committee of veterinary medicine, 10,442 such agreements were concluded in 2022. An audit of previously concluded agreements with owners of farm animals is also being carried out with a view to extending their validity period. As of December 30, 2022, there were 51,637 pigs in 10,573 private households of citizens of the Volgograd Region.
