The production volumes of the future plant in the city of Karabash, Chelyabinsk region, will amount to 656 thousand tons of fertilizers per year, including ammonium sulfate in granular and crystallized forms. The products are used in agriculture as a fertilizer, as well as for the disinfection of drinking water in the housing and communal services sector. Glavgosexpertiza of Russia issued a positive opinion on the construction of the plant.
Design solutions provide for the creation of a complex for the production of nitrogen-potassium-phosphorus compounds (NPK), as well as diammonium phosphate (DAP) and monoammonium phosphate (MAP).
The new production of mineral fertilizers in Karabash is being created as part of two production lines. At the same time, obtaining crystalline ammonium sulfate is provided only for the first technological line. The second line will produce ammonium sulfate both in crystalline and granular form, depending on market conditions.
The design capacity of one technological line is from 700 to 1110 tons of products per day. The complex includes a production building, warehouses for storing raw materials and finished products, as well as a department for transshipment of finished products, buildings for packaging units, operator and other technological and auxiliary facilities and communications.
The project also includes solutions to reduce the impact of harmful production factors, including such as mechanization and maximum automation of the technological process using auxiliary and lifting equipment; installation of gas analyzers and signaling devices for maximum permissible concentrations to prevent the occurrence of gas contamination of the working area, as well as a sealed technological production system and a number of other measures.
Railway tracks for non-public use on the territory of the future plant are being developed according to a separate project.
