House 43 on Gorky Street is one of the most interesting buildings in Dudinka. Its facade is decorated with photographs of pupils of the institution of additional education located here “Children’s and Youth Center for Tourism and Creativity “Junior”. It was founded in December 2009 and is the successor of the Children and Youth Center for Tourism and Local History, founded in 1988, as well as the Yunost Children’s Art House, which opened in 1947.
In “Junior” with children and teenagers they go in for sports, creativity, humanitarian and exact sciences. There are programs of a tourist and local history orientation, such as “Life safety in the conditions of the Far North” and “Fundamentals of sports tourism.” Technical classes are popular: “Web programming”, “Workshop of photo and video creativity”. There are English language courses, leadership development programs, a dance school, a chess section and many other circles and creative studios that develop the horizons of children and make them versatile personalities.
The project, reviewed by the Krasnoyarsk Regional State Expertise, provides for the reconstruction of the four-story building “Junior”. After the premises and facades are updated, the Center for Tourism and Creativity will continue its work.*
