The United States, Great Britain, Ireland, Canada, the Netherlands, Poland, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Sweden also refused to participate in the tournament.
The Norwegian Sports Federation refused to participate in the World Boxing Championship. This is stated on the website of the organization.
The reason was the decision of the International Boxing Federation (IBA) to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes under their national flags.

First, the US Boxing Federation announced a boycott of the tournament. Then the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, the Netherlands, Poland, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Sweden made a similar decision.
On February 16, the federations stated that they had received many appeals from athletes who did not agree with the decision of the national federations to boycott the World Cup. The IBA offered to register for the tournament directly. The Federation also promised to provide financial support if necessary.
The women’s world championship will be held in March in India, and the men’s championship in May in Uzbekistan.
