The issues of conservation of aquatic biological resources in the Volga-Caspian fishery basin were discussed by the participants of the Interregional meeting on the conservation of aquatic biological resources and their habitat, including control and supervisory functions, in the Volga-Caspian fishery basin, which was held in Saratov under the chairmanship of Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Fisheries Mikhail Ivanika. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the region – Minister of Agriculture of the region Roman Kovalsky. “Preservation of aquatic biological resources, maintaining them at a level at which the most sustainable volume of their catch can be ensured directly depends on the competent, well-coordinated work of fish protection authorities and scientific institutions,” Deputy Chairman Roman emphasized the relevance of the issues raised at the meeting, including for the Saratov region Kowalski.
