The director’s films “Square” and “Triangle of Sorrow” took the main prizes in 2017 and 2022
Swedish director Ruben Östlund will head the main competition jury at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. This is stated on the official website of the review.
The director is a frequent visitor to Cannes. In 2014, Östlund’s Force Majeure won the Jury Prize in the Un Certain Regard program. In 2017 and 2022, the director’s films The Square and The Triangle of Sadness were awarded the Palme d’Or, the main prize of one of the world’s leading film festivals.
