The good news for the entire agrarian community of the region was the return of the classic standard of the “School of the Agronomist”. For 19 years, large-scale studies have been organized by the Stavropol representative office of “August”. However, due to pandemic restrictions, the last two years meetings of experts with agricultural producers were held in an offsite format. This year, 120 farmers from the Stavropol Territory and the republics of the North Caucasus gathered in the capital of the North Caucasian Federal District – Pyatigorsk.
The event opened head of the Stavropol representative office Anuar Shebzukhov. He thanked the participants of the School of Agronomist and congratulated them on the start of the training site.

Dmitry Plishkin spoke about the already implemented and new large-scale investment projects of August. One of the most significant events in recent years has been the construction of a plant for the production of active ingredients Hubei Avgust Pesticide Co. in China. Ltd.
“Thanks to the implementation of this project, we can influence the cost of active ingredients and control the quality and stability of supplies,” said the head of the sales department.
The pride of the company is one of the most modern and technologically advanced enterprises in Russia: the plant for the production of KhSZR “Avgust-Alabuga”. The Vurnar Mixed Preparations Plant in Chuvashia and ZAO Avgust-Bel in Belarus are actively working.
“The specifics of the past and this year are such that we started both contracting for all the necessary components and the production of drugs for the 2023 season very early,” said Dmitry Plishkin. – Responding to the instability of international trade and realizing our responsibility to the Russian market, we have taken all the necessary measures to provide, secure, and create all the necessary reserves for the supply of drugs to domestic agricultural producers in full volume with both active substances and production capacities.

A new word in protection
New pesticides were presented by Larisa Yelinevskaya, Head of the Formulation Development Department, and Dmitry Belov, Head of the Product Development Department. The novelties of “August” traditionally arouse great interest among farmers. And it is no coincidence. For example, in the 2022 season, for the first time, farmers used the herbicide Odyssey to protect sunflower resistant to imidazolinones. For its effectiveness and wide spectrum of action, it was named the legendary winner of weeds – annual cereals and dicotyledonous.
Hat-Trick, an insect-fungicidal systemic seed treater for grain crops, proved to be excellent in the work of pests and diseases. Thanks to the combination of two fungicidal components with different dynamics of movement in the plant, it has a reliable dual fungicidal action – eradicating and protecting. Hat-Trick provides effective control of major diseases in seeds and seedlings of crops. Importantly, there is no retardant effect on crop seedlings.
