To date, agricultural enterprises in a number of districts of the region have already begun nitrogen fertilization, soil preparation and sowing of early spring crops, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory reports. The leaders in the application of mineral fertilizers are Trunovsky municipal district – 19.4 thousand hectares, Krasnogvardeisky municipal district – 14.98 thousand hectares, Novoaleksandrovsky municipal district – 14.8 thousand hectares, Petrovsky municipal district – 11.38 thousand hectares.
For the growth and development of plants, agricultural producers use ammonium nitrate and UAN.
The need for mineral fertilizers for a complex of seasonal field works in 2023 is 634.8 thousand tons of active ingredient and is usually closed ahead of schedule. To date, 295.8 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers have been accumulated for spring field work, which is 103%.
