It is identical in design and function to Twitter.
Twitter creator Jack Dorsey has launched a new app, BlueSky, which is an alternative to Twitter. This is reported by the portal Techcrunch.
The application is based on the open standard Authenticated Transfer Protocol (AT), which assumes a decentralized social network. It runs on an independent server, while the centralized one runs on a server owned by a specific business. Thanks to this, the influence of the leadership of the social network on the actions of users will be minimal.
According to Techcrunch, BlueSky was originally a Twitter side project. Funding for the new development continued until the sale of the company to Elon Musk.
Twitter has a tweet view counter
BlueSky is currently only available to iOS users by invitation. It is identical in design and function to Twitter. BlueSky allows you to post messages up to 256 characters and photos. Now the number of users of the new social network is less than 2 thousand people.
In 2016, the Mastodon application was launched, which is based on the AT protocol. The social network provides microblogging features similar to Twitter or the Chinese Weibo.
