In the Perm Territory, the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter increased by 22.4% in January

According to Rosstat, in January 2023, Perm agricultural enterprises produced 42.4 thousand tons of milk, which is 6.7% more than in the same period in 2022. According to this indicator, the Perm Territory ranked sixth among the regions of the Volga Federal District. The maximum volume of milk was produced in Tatarstan – 117.4 thousand tons, the minimum – in the Ulyanovsk region (8.2 thousand tons). Also, the Perm Territory was in sixth place in the Volga Federal District in terms of the number of cows (75.4 thousand heads). The largest livestock was kept in agricultural organizations of Tatarstan – 184.6 thousand heads, the smallest – in the Ulyanovsk region (16.1 thousand heads). The milk productivity of one cow in agricultural organizations of the Perm Territory averaged 650 kg (+7.1% compared to the previous year). According to this indicator, the region is in 12th place in the Volga Federal District.
