The reason to suspect two minors aged 14 and 16 came from law enforcement officers in the process of working on statements of fraud by two elderly residents of the city of Balakovo. They were deceived according to the same scheme, and it is possible that the same people.
The pensioners turned to law enforcement officers at the end of February. Each said that she received a call from a man who introduced himself as a police officer. He said that a relative of the woman got into an accident, and he now faces criminal liability. But the matter can be hushed up – just give money. Women, of course, worried and did not want problems for their loved ones, so they handed over the money to those who came for them. One – 202,000 rubles, the other – 555,000.
The standard continuation followed – the pensioners found out that everything was in order with their relatives, and then they realized that they had been deceived.
On two facts, criminal cases of fraud were opened.
“As a result of the operational-search activities carried out by the employees of the Balakovskoye Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, alleged couriers of fraudsters were identified. The police have reason to believe that two young people aged 14 and 16 may be involved in these incidents. Currently, additional episodes of illegal activity are being established, ”the website of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Saratov Region reports.
The police also reminded that scammers often involve minors in their activities, and teenagers, having seen offers of quick and easy money on the Internet, agree without delving into the essence of the work. At the same time, they do not realize their role in the criminal scheme, but they are prosecuted on a par with the organizers of crimes.
According to the same scheme with an accident, swindlers divorced two children in Murmansk. With one difference – their mother needed an operation there. Brothers aged 8 and 9 gave couriers 500,000 rubles.
