The volume of poultry meat exports from Russia in 2022 increased by one and a half times in value terms compared to the figure for 2021. This is stated in the message of the federal center “Agroexport”, writes TASS.
“In 2022, Russian poultry meat exports continued the positive dynamics of recent years, increasing by another 16% in physical terms and by 51% in monetary terms. Since 2017, the physical volume of poultry meat sales abroad has more than doubled, and revenue – 4.7 times,” the report says.
At the same time, Agroexport does not provide export figures in absolute terms. According to experts, the top three leading countries in terms of the value of imports of Russian poultry meat in 2022 have not changed. As a year earlier, China retained its position as the largest buyer, which, according to updated data, accounted for 39% of the total volume of poultry meat exports last year (in 2021 – 41%). Poultry meat from Russia to China was delivered 139 thousand tons last year, which is 11% more than in 2021. In monetary terms, the growth rate was 53%.
The second buyer of Russian poultry meat in 2022 is Saudi Arabia, which increased the physical volume of purchases by 59%, and the value – by 85%. Also in the top 3 importers is Kazakhstan with growth dynamics of 42% and 55%, respectively.
