Governor Veniamin Kondratyev told reporters about the development of the industry.
– The Krasnodar Territory is in first place in the country for the production of wine products. In 2022, 23.3 million deciliters were produced, including 6.8 million deciliters of sparkling and champagne wines. Not only experts speak about the high quality of our wines, Kuban products are in great demand among buyers from all over the country. For our part, we support the industry in every possible way. For example, we compensate for the costs of planting vines, care work, uprooting vineyards. We will allocate more than 1 billion rubles this year to reimburse these expenses, among other things, – said Veniamin Kondratiev.
Veniamin Kondratiev added that the development of nurseries and the cultivation of their own seedlings makes it possible to avoid dependence on imported planting materials. Already now their share is only 30%. It is planned to increase the production of local seedlings this year by 27% – up to 4.2 million pieces per year. Plantations are increasing, and at the beginning of 2023 they amount to 29.6 thousand hectares, which is 33% of all vineyard areas in Russia.
– We pay special attention to the protection of vineyards. So, in the general plan of Anapa, more than 30 thousand hectares of such territories have already been recorded. Relevant work is now being carried out in Novorossiysk and the Temryuk region. On these plots of land there can be nothing but vineyards. In addition, the land tax for farmers who will plant plantations has been canceled,” said Veniamin Kondratiev.
Currently, more than 90 organizations and peasant farms are engaged in the production of wine products in the Kuban.
