On March 3, Avtovaz began production of the new generation Lada Vesta. The start of production began at the site of the plant in Togliatti – on line B0, which was vacant after the production of Logans, Largus and Iksreev was discontinued. The sedan, SW (station wagon) and SW Cross (raised station wagon) versions immediately got onto the conveyor.
The updated Vesta, produced in Tolyatti, has 200 parts and assemblies, which are now produced in Russia. The percentage of localization of the model has increased significantly. If three years ago it was 3995 points on the scale of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, now it is 4500 points – almost like Grant’s.
