Deputy from the Krasnodar Territory, member of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy Eduard Kuznetsov (United Russia) sent a letter to Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Victoria Abramchenko, in which he asks to work out the issue of improving the situation with subsidizing the transport costs of farmers. He said this in an interview with TASS.
“Exporters of agro-industrial products inform that the existing volumes of subsidies are insufficient to maintain the profitability of the industry, and, comparing them with the volumes of subsidies for transport costs for enterprises in other industries, which reach 80%, they ask to increase the share of subsidies to 40-50%”, – the text of the letter says.
In addition, at the end of 2020, a change was made to the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1104, which limited the receipt of subsidies for sunflower oil producers (the number according to the FEA classifier is 1512), Kuznetsov points out. According to him, sunflower oil producers “were earnestly asking you to pay attention to the fact that these changes have had a negative impact on the profitability of the industry, especially in the face of external economic pressure.”
In this regard, the deputy asks Abramchenko to consider the relevant proposals of the farmers and, if they are supported, instruct the executive authorities to make “relevant changes to the government’s legal acts in order to improve the situation in subsidizing the farmers’ transport costs.”
