Egg production increased by 22% in agricultural enterprises of the Tambov region in January

According to Tambovstat, in January, agricultural enterprises of the Tambov region showed an increase in meat production (cattle and poultry for slaughter in live weight) by 11.2% compared to the same period in 2022 – up to 49.5 thousand tons. Positive dynamics was observed in 13 districts, among them Bondarsky, Pervomaisky and Zherdevsky. Egg production increased to 1,708 thousand eggs, which is 22.0% higher than a year earlier. Also, 7.2 thousand tons of milk were received (12.6% more). Increased milk production of agricultural organizations in 9 districts. The productivity of the dairy herd has increased: the average milk yield per forage cow in January was 645 kg, which is 13.2% more than in 2022. The maximum results were achieved in the Nikiforovsky district – 1,277 kg of milk, Sampursky and Pichaevsky – 795 and 771 kg, respectively.
