It was previously planned that the forum would be held on September 5–8, just like a year earlier. The event will take place on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University. The WEF-2023 plenary meeting is scheduled for September 14. Presidential adviser Anton Kobyakov said he expected the participation of foreign leaders and high-level guests. Who specifically can visit the forum, he has not yet specified.
“The decision to clarify the dates of the Eastern Economic Forum is connected with the schedule of international events,” Kobyakov said.
Traditionally, an extensive cultural program will be prepared for guests and residents of the Far East. At the exhibition “Street of the Far East” the subjects that are part of the Far Eastern Federal District will present their best projects, unique products of craftsmen and original cuisine. Also, the Vladivostok Seasons festival will be held at the central venues of Vladivostok.
In 2022, the Eastern Economic Forum brought together over 7,000 participants from 68 countries and territories, including Russia. Among them were about 1,700 business representatives from 700 companies. On the margins of the forum, 296 agreements were signed for a total amount of more than 3 trillion rubles.
Within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum, the exhibition “Street of the Far East” was held, at which the regions showed their strengths in science, economics, ecology and culture, as well as opportunities for investment.
