GK Rost launched the second stage of the Michurinsky greenhouse complex for 8.5 billion rubles. This was announced by the Governor of the Tambov region Maxim Egorov, writes abireg.ru.
Investments in the construction of two stages amounted to 17 billion rubles. Mr. Yegorov said that the enterprises will now grow organic vegetables on 30 hectares. “Due to the commissioning of new capacities, it is planned to double production – from 18.8 thousand tons in 2022 to 36.3 thousand tons in 2023,” writes Maxim Egorov.
It is planned that the enterprise will become “one of the largest modern greenhouse complexes for growing greenhouse vegetables in Russia.” This will provide dozens of regions of the country with fresh vegetables all year round.
Mr. Yegorov also said that last year Michurinsky sent more than 53 million rubles in taxes to the regional budget. “We direct this money to education, medicine, culture, roads. With the launch of the second phase, 450 new jobs have been created, in addition to 600 in 2021,” the governor said.
It was originally planned that Michurinsky would be built in three phases with a total investment of 25 billion rubles.
