The ceremony of presenting state awards was held on March 8 in the Kremlin. Russian President Vladimir Putin presented orders and medals to 20 women who distinguished themselves in various fields. Among them are a military nurse, doctors from Donetsk and Lugansk, and a young journalist from Kherson. Earlier, in his congratulations to all Russian women, Putin promised that the state would do everything to support women.
Putin noted that Russian women have achieved significant results in all areas of activity. At the same time, the recognition of the professional merits of women in Russia is harmoniously combined with “a deep understanding of the enduring importance of motherhood and traditional values,” he added.
Among the recipients are mothers of many children Olga Strelnikova and Albina Khaidarshina. Military nurse Kristina Kim, 16-year-old journalist from Kherson Vlada Lugovskaya, head physician of the Lugansk Republican Children’s Hospital Lyudmila Beletskaya, deputy head of the Donetsk Center for Maternal and Child Health Anna Zheleznaya also received awards. In addition, Putin noted the head of the museum-estate “Yasnaya Polyana” Galina Alekseeva.
Earlier, Putin congratulated all Russian women on March 8. He stated that women make the world better, kinder thanks to sensitivity, compassion and spiritual generosity, and combine charming tenderness and amazing inner strength. And at the same time he promised new children’s payments.
