VK launches a project about traveling around Russia

The VK company, together with the More than Travel program, launches the Places video project. In it, more than 50 influencers will talk about interesting locations located in 70 Russian regions. Among the project’s ambassadors are artist Mia Boyka, TV presenter Elena Letuchaya, blogger Yulia Koval and others.

“Places is the most applied project that will help regions attract tourists and guests with non-traditional “postcard views”, but with unusual locations, people and events that shape the culture of a city or region, its essence and real content. We will try to make sure that the implementation of the project in a digital format – on VK platforms – motivates and arouses interest in each of the regions of the project, ”explained Alexey Merkutov, Vice President of VK.

What else is known:

Pilot shooting for Mest took place in early 2023 in the Murmansk region and the Republic of Buryatia. According to the authors of the project, the next locations will be the Arkhangelsk Region and the Krasnodar Territory.

“Our country provides great opportunities for young travelers with a variety of tastes and preferences. Today we need to tell them not only about well-known tourist sites, but also help them discover new places. At the same time, it is important to speak with young people in their language, today it is the language of content. The more high-quality, motivating it is, the more inspiring stories, heroes and places it contains, the more chances it has to get into the hearts of young people,” said Ksenia Razuvaeva, head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.

What is important to know:

The first videos will appear on social networks in April of this year, and the project itself will last until the end of 2024.

In addition to content on the VK platform, the project will also hold offline meetings of the event, including meetings of bloggers and organizers with active youth, environmental events and creative performances.
