In the Ivanovo region “Pedigree plant named after. Dzerzhinsky is one of the top 100 largest milk producers in Russia

The Dzerzhinsky Breeding Plant is the leader in milk production in the Ivanovo region: the share of the agricultural enterprise accounts for 23% of the gross milk production in the region. In addition, the farm has achieved record volumes of production and productivity in the entire history of the Ivanovo region. As part of a working trip to the Gavrilovo-Posadsky District, on March 6, Denis Cherkesov, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Food of the Ivanovo Region, visited an agricultural enterprise that was included in the top 100 largest producers of raw milk in Russia. Over the past twenty years, the farm has been increasing the number of cattle, including cows. So, in January 2023, the total number of livestock in the breeding farm amounted to more than 6.9 thousand heads, including 2.5 thousand dairy cows.
