The Department of State Expertise of Design Documentation and the Results of Engineering Surveys of Kuzbass issued a positive conclusion on the improvement of the territory of the Memorial to Siberian Heroes park in Kemerovo. The regional expert organization uses the Unified Digital Expertise Platform.
The memorial complex to the Siberian Heroes is located in the Leninsky district of the city of Kemerovo. The first stage of its creation ended in November 2022 with the grand opening of the monument to the liberator warrior. The figure of a Soviet soldier with a rescued girl in his arms is a copy of the famous monument erected in Berlin’s Treptow Park in May 1949. Nikolai Masalov, a native of Kuzbass, is considered the prototype of the hero depicted by the sculptor Yevgeny Vuchetich. During the storming of Berlin on April 30, 1945, he carried a German girl out of the shelling, risking his own life. This episode formed the basis of the original composition “Liberator Warrior”, which, at the initiative of the Kuzbass authorities, was recreated in the hero’s homeland. The grandson of the sculptor Vuchetich took part in the work on the project of the monument as a consultant.
In accordance with the project documentation, which was approved by the state expertise of Kuzbass, within the framework of the second stage of the creation of the Memorial to the Siberian Heroes, the park will be landscaped and the territory landscaped.*
