The number of cows in personal subsidiary farms (LPH) in Tatarstan in 2022 increased for the first time since 2005, said the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic Marat Zyabbarov at the final board of the ministry.
“According to the results of the year (2022 – IF), we have an increase in livestock in household plots by 511 cows, it should be noted that this is the first increase since 2005,” Zyabbarov said.
As of the end of 2022, 101,000 cows were kept in private household plots of the republic.
The volume of their financial support from the budget of Tatarstan in 2023 will increase by 26% – up to 536 million rubles, the minister noted. According to him, the total amount of state support for small businesses in the republic amounted to 2.8 billion rubles in 2022.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic, in 2022, small forms of management – 474 thousand household plots and 4 thousand farms – produced agricultural products worth 142.9 billion rubles, or 42.9% of the gross output of the agro-industrial complex of the republic. Including the production of household plots products amounted to 107.3 billion rubles, which is 3.9% more than the previous year.
At the same time, in large agricultural formations, the number of cattle decreased by 16 thousand heads in 2022: Krasny Vostok agricultural holding reduced the number of livestock by 15% (to 51.1 thousand heads), Ak Bars – by 13% (34. 6 thousand heads), “Agrosila” – by 6% (25 thousand heads), “August-Agro” – by 4% (9.3 thousand heads).
At the same time, the minister recalled that in 2023 Agrosila plans to start building a dairy complex for 4.5 thousand heads in the Sarmanovsky district of Tatarstan, August-Agro will start building a dairy complex for 3.4 thousand heads in Kaibitsky district and will launch the first stage of a dairy complex for 2.4 thousand heads in the Menzelinsky district.
According to the All-Russian Agricultural Census of 2016 (conducted every 10 years), 3.1 million cows were kept in the country’s household plots. According to the All-Russian micro-agricultural census of 2021, there were 2.9 million heads.
